Pursuits

As a young child, I dreamt of being an actress and singer both in Hollywood and Hong Kong. Celebrity life looked like a lot of fun, and is paid very generously. I later learned that it also comes with hard work, stress, and worst of all, the paparazzi. So I changed my dream career to ones compatible with my love for designing: an architect, a fashion designer and a interior home designer. These dreams were again short-lived.

My love of books also gave me an idea of becoming an author of children books, romance, and/or mystery. I used to (and still) love watching action-filled thriller movies, both English and Chinese. I had thought being a FBI or a CID would be fun. That dream has since changed slightly. I am currently pursuing a post-secondary education in criminology in hope of becoming a famous well-known criminologist and defense attorney.

Dream Home

My Castle

My love for designing had me concluded at a young age that I will design my own house. I have somewhat of a floorplan thought out in my mind since junior high school. The house is a two story detached home with a fully furnished basement and a two car heated garage. The main floor boasts a family room, a living room, a den, a dining room, a kitchen, and a foyer with a 9 foot ceiling and a chandelier. The kitchen has a set of french doors leading to the deck and backyard.

Spiral stairs lead upstairs to a spacious hallway overlooking the foyer. The second floor has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a great room, and a master bedroom. My master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the backyard, a gas fireplace, a large walk-in closet and a wide ensuite equipped with a hot tub. The basement is the entertainment room with the classic billiard table, game station, and a home entertainment system. Now if only I was rich.

Dream Man

Prince Charming

Every girl dreams of being swept away by their Prince Charming. The difference between me and those girls, I still believe in that dream. So what do I look for in a man? A lot. He has got to have some sense of humor. I do not want to spend my entire life with a dull person who does not know how to make me laugh. He does not have to be considerably sweet and romantic although it would be nice to be romanced (and spoiled) once in awhile.

Prince Charming definitely has to be taller than me, and preferably older than me. I do not want to feel as though I am spending my life with my younger brother. He must be physically fit. I do not have fondness for the extremely muscular man nor do I for the scrawny type. He has to be strong, someone who can make me feel protected and secured.

Looks will always matter to an extent. My prince has to be good looking. I go for the eyes and the smile. His hair has to be kept short and clean. His intelligence level must be average. People of two different intellectual spheres have hard times staying together. Prince Charming must be clean. Decent clothes, nice teeth, shaved, etc.

I need and want someone who can be totally honest with me. I need to be able to trust him 100% and vice versa. Most importantly I want him to love me unconditionally for who I am. *Hint* I have a soft spot for the bad boy types.

Dream Vacation

Paradise

I have developed a dream vacation since French class in junior high school. It is a pity I missed the opportunity of fulfilling this dream two times. The first time in grade nine, the second time when I was twenty-one. If there is only one place I can travel to, hands down to Europe.

I remember falling in love with the cities, the landscapes, the scenaries, the monuments provided in travel brochures and posters. I instantly fell deeply in love with Paris, despite the fact Paris is over-rated. I want to eat lunch on the Eiffel Tower, admire the art pieces in La Louvre, walk beneath the Arc de Triumphe, and watch the sunset from the Seine River.

I wish to see the Big Ben in London, visit the famous ruins in Athens, snap a picture of the Leaning Tower of Piza in Rome, and taste the sweet flower gardens in Madrid. I have high hopes that I will make this dream come true very soon.
